Job Summary
Pumpkin is seeking a Sales Operations Manager where you will be a key player in optimizing the sales team's performance and enhancing business insights through effective use of Salesforce and other tools. In this role, you will be responsible for streamlining processes, resolving technical issues, and driving data-driven decision-making in support of our sales and leadership teams. Your work will directly impact the efficiency and productivity of our sales operations, helping the business scale and achieve critical growth targets. By providing consistent reporting, system support, and process improvements, you'll enable the team to meet ambitious sales goals and make data-backed strategic decisions.
Job Location: Remote (up to 10% travel) - US
Main Responsibilities
- Salesforce Administration: Own the day-to-day optimization of Salesforce, ensuring that the CRM system is operating efficiently, solving issues, and providing accurate data.
- Data Reporting & Insights: Generate and maintain regular reports to track sales performance, pipeline progress, and key metrics. Provide actionable insights to guide leadership and the sales team.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, and leadership teams to identify trends, risks, and opportunities within the vet sales channel. Ensure alignment on key initiatives and data-driven decisions.
- Problem Resolution: Be the go-to person for resolving technical issues with Salesforce, providing direct support to the sales team, and troubleshooting system challenges as they arise.
- Process Optimization: Continuously identify and recommend improvements in Salesforce, sales and reporting processes, ensuring efficient and scalable workflow for the sales team, insightful and accurate data for decision-makers, and streamlined processing that scales with the business.
- Training & Support: Train sales team members on best practices for using Salesforce, reporting tools, and other systems, ensuring the team is fully equipped to achieve their goals. Partner with Sales Enablement to support best practices and skill development.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years in sales operations, CRM management, or a similar role, supporting sales, marketing, or leadership teams.
- Proven track record of Salesforce administration, including creating and managing reports, dashboards, and ensuring proper data flow.
- Strong ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and translate those insights into actionable recommendations.
- Advanced skills in Salesforce, Excel, Google G Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides), and a general understanding of SQL is a plus.
- Experience in B2B, SaaS, or a related industry; familiarity with the pet health sector is a bonus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data insights in simple terms for stakeholders at all levels.
- A self-starter with strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying issues and implementing solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Salesforce Administrator certification is highly desirable but not required.
- Salesforce as well as other CRM systems
- Familiarity with SQL for more advanced data analysis and reporting.
- Experience managing projects or initiatives that involve cross-functional teams or significant process improvements.
- Familiarity with the pet health industry or a passion for working in the sector is a plus.
