B.E.A.M. Global is building a national and global movement focused on Black excellence, identity, purpose, healing, and advancement, powered by technology, content, and local chapters.
We are seeking a founding Chief Financial Officer to architect the financial backbone of BEAM as we scale across institutions, partners, and communities.
This is not a traditional CFO role.
This is a capital, controls, and credibility role.

What You’ll Lead
• Financial strategy, forecasting, and long-term planning
• Capital readiness (grants, foundations, philanthropy, institutional capital)
• Budgeting, cash flow, and financial discipline across the ecosystem
• Multi-entity financial structure (Global → Verticals → Chapters)
• Financial reporting for leadership, funders, and board
You will work closely with the Founder and President to ensure BEAM scales with integrity and durability.

• A CFO, senior finance leader, or seasoned finance operator
• Experienced in startups, nonprofits, platforms, or hybrid organizations
• Comfortable operating early with equity-first compensation
• Based in or near Washington, DC and open to hybrid work
• Motivated by impact, legacy, and long-term ownership
Experience with grants, foundations, donor reporting, or institutional funding is strongly preferred.

Compensation
• Founding equity 2.5% (earned, not automatic)
• Cash compensation: Deferred until pre-seed / institutional funding
• Vesting: 4 years, monthly, no cliff
• Time: 15–20 hrs/week initially
Role scales to full-time, salaried CFO post-raise.
