Job Summary
The Secretary to the CFO provides high-level administrative and organizational support to the Chief Financial Officer. The role requires discretion, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while supporting the smooth operation of the finance function.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage the CFO’s calendar, appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements
• Prepare, edit, and format correspondence, reports, presentations, and financial documents
• Act as a point of contact between the CFO and internal/external stakeholders
• Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes, and follow up on action items
• Handle confidential and sensitive financial and business information with discretion
• Maintain organized filing systems (electronic and physical) for financial records and documents
• Screen and prioritize emails, calls, and requests directed to the CFO
• Assist with budgeting, expense tracking, and invoice processing as required
• Support preparation for board meetings, audits, and financial reviews
• Perform general administrative duties to support the finance department
Qualifications and Skills
• Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Secretarial Studies, or a related field
• Proven experience as an executive secretary, personal assistant, or similar role
• Strong understanding of office administration and basic financial terminology
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure
Experience
• 3–5 years of relevant administrative or secretarial experience, preferably supporting senior executives or finance leadership
Work Environment
• Office-based role with regular interaction with senior management and external partners
