Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
London | Hybrid (c. 3 days in office)
£140,000 – £160,000
CoCo Group is working exclusively on a standout CFO opportunity for one of London’s most established and highly respected creative event agency groups.
This is not a traditional CFO role. It’s a chance to step into a business delivering world-class, technically complex, high-profile global events and play a central role in shaping the next stage of growth, including international expansion and acquisition activity.
If you’re looking for a CFO role where you can genuinely influence the direction of the business, sharpen commercial performance and build the financial foundations for scale, this is an exceptional opportunity.
The Opportunity
This is a creative-led business with deep production capability, operating across multiple specialist business units, each with its own P&L. The pace is fast, the work is high-profile, and the standards are uncompromising.
The incoming CFO will partner closely with the MD and leadership team as the commercial backbone of the group, bringing stronger insight, control and structure, without slowing down growth.
This is a role for someone who can balance strategic leadership with a hands-on approach, and thrive in a business where delivery, detail and timing matter.
Key Focus of the Role
- You’ll take full ownership of the finance function, leading a team of six and driving improvements across forecasting, reporting, commercial rigour and financial performance.
- You’ll oversee budgeting, planning and group reporting, while strengthening governance, controls and cashflow discipline. A major part of your impact will come from partnering with senior stakeholders across the business, improving visibility around utilisation, profitability and project performance, and ensuring finance becomes a true driver of decision-making.
- You’ll also lead improvements in systems, reporting capability and automation, helping the business build smarter financial infrastructure and stronger data visibility as it continues to scale.
M&A / Integration Exposure
As the group continues to grow, acquisition activity will remain a key part of its journey. The CFO will bring experience in M&A environments, with the confidence to lead or support the financial workstream through due diligence, integration and ongoing commercial alignment.
Who We’re Looking For
This role will suit either an established CFO, or a high-calibre Finance Director / number two ready to step into their first CFO role.
To be considered, you must have strong experience in an agency environment, ideally within creative, production or broader marketing services. You’ll understand agency financial models inside out, including utilisation, capacity planning, time-selling and project profitability, and you’ll bring the commercial mindset needed to influence non-finance stakeholders and drive performance across the group.
You’ll be confident operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and motivated by playing a key role in a business with serious growth ambition.
This is a rare opportunity to join a highly regarded creative business at a pivotal stage, with real momentum and a clear ambition to scale significantly over the coming years.
You won’t just be managing finance, you’ll be shaping the future of the group.
