Camino Search is supporting a private equity–backed vertical SaaS platform in a confidential search for a Chief Financial Officer. The business generates $20–40M in recurring revenue and is entering its next phase of growth, focused on strengthening financial rigor and executing a targeted acquisition strategy.
This is a hands-on role with direct partnership alongside the CEO and sponsor. It is not a maintenance mandate.
The Opportunity
The CFO will operate as a true partner to the CEO and private equity sponsor, translating strategic priorities into measurable financial outcomes. The role offers meaningful influence across pricing, margins, cash flow optimization, and acquisition integration. The incoming CFO will play a central role in professionalizing finance infrastructure while maintaining execution speed.
Key Responsibilities
- Own financial strategy, forecasting, and capital allocation planning
- Lead board reporting and investor communication cadence
- Strengthen SaaS KPI rigor across ARR, retention, unit economics, and cohort performance
- Drive operating discipline across pricing, margins, and working capital
- Lead acquisition modeling and support post-close integration efforts
- Upgrade systems, processes, and internal controls
- Build and develop a high-performing finance team
Candidate Profile
- CFO or VP Finance experience within a $15–75M ARR SaaS business
- Prior exposure to private equity or sponsor-backed environments
- Demonstrated involvement in M&A or capital events
- Strong command of SaaS operating metrics and recurring revenue models
- Comfortable operating hands-on in lean environments
- Analytical, decisive, and capable of challenging assumptions constructively
