Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial operations of our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial planning, risk management, record-keeping, and financial reporting. This role requires strong management and leadership skills to guide the finance team and support organisational growth. The CFO will collaborate closely with executive management to develop strategies that align with our long-term objectives, ensuring fiscal responsibility and sustainable development.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement financial strategies that support organisational goals and growth initiatives.
- Oversee budgeting processes, financial forecasting, and cash flow management to ensure fiscal stability.
- Lead the preparation of financial reports, statements, and analyses for internal use and external stakeholders.
- Manage risk assessment and mitigation strategies to safeguard organisational assets.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, standards, and reporting requirements.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimise financial performance across the organisation.
- Establish internal controls to maintain accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Represent the organisation in financial negotiations, partnerships, and stakeholder engagements.
Requirements
- Proven experience in senior financial management roles, ideally as a CFO or similar executive position.
- Strong management skills with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with strategic thinking and decision-making expertise.
- In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, accounting standards, and best practices.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Relevant professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA are highly desirable.
- A track record of driving organisational growth through sound financial planning and management.
