Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial operations of our organization. This executive role requires a deep understanding of financial management, regulatory compliance, and strategic planning to support the company's growth and stability. The CFO will oversee all financial aspects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, and will serve as a key member of the senior leadership team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive experience in corporate finance, and expertise in both non-profit and for-profit accounting environments.
Duties
- Develop and implement financial strategies that align with organizational objectives, including revenue management, cost control, and risk mitigation.
- Oversee corporate accounting functions, ensuring compliance with GAAP, IFRS, IAS, ASC 606, COSO frameworks, and regulatory reporting standards.
- Manage treasury functions including cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, and liquidity management.
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to support business development and strategic initiatives.
- Supervise financial reporting processes; interpret complex financial reports for executive decision-making.
- Oversee compliance with SOX regulations and manage internal controls to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Lead mergers & acquisitions activities by conducting due diligence, valuation analysis, and integration planning.
- Manage risk analysis processes related to market fluctuations, regulatory changes, and operational risks.
- Ensure adherence to governmental accounting standards for non-profit organizations where applicable.
- Oversee tax planning and compliance including revenue cycle management and expense management.
- Supervise finance teams responsible for payroll management, cost accounting, supply chain finance, and technical accounting functions.
- Engage in business analysis to identify opportunities for growth and efficiency improvements through financial modeling and market analysis.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, IAS standards; experience with ASC 606 and COSO frameworks.
- Proven expertise in corporate finance including profit & loss management, cost control, expense management, and fiscal management.
- Strong leadership skills with experience supervising finance teams; ability to influence senior leadership through strategic insights.
- Proficiency in financial software systems; advanced skills in financial report writing and interpretation.
- Deep understanding of risk management practices including risk analysis and mitigation strategies.
- Experience with mergers & acquisitions; negotiation skills for strategic partnerships or investments.
- Ability to perform complex financial analysis including revenue cycle management and market analysis.
- Knowledge of tax accounting practices relevant to both non-profit and for-profit sectors; familiarity with governmental accounting standards if applicable.
- Excellent communication skills for business development presentations; ability to translate technical concepts into clear insights for stakeholders.
- Strong strategic planning capabilities with a focus on long-term growth initiatives; expertise in budgeting and forecasting processes.
