The Business Operations Associate plays a critical behind-the-scenes role by ensuring our membership operations, virtual event logistics, and internal reporting are timely and accurate. This role is ideal for an early-career professional who is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn how a mission-driven organization operates.

Leadership Now Project is a membership organization of business leaders committed to protecting democracy as a foundation for a thriving economy and political stability. Founded in 2017, the Leadership Now Project is a national organization, with 400+ members in over 30 states and chapters in nine. We draw on extensive business and alumni networks to take action—investing in leaders, influencing policy, responding to risks, and partnering to drive solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Business Operations (40%)
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date member records across all platforms, including our CRM, email marketing lists, etc.
- Enrich CRM profiles with relevant data, including LinkedIn information, interest areas, and engagement indicators
- Ensure member data is entered consistently and on time, following established standards and look for opportunities to build automated systems
- Collaborate with Operations and Data teams on CRM integrations to ensure a clear, complete view of member engagement touchpoints
- Support data cleanup, quality checks, and documentation as needed
- Support core administrative functions, including: managing accounts payable and day-to-day finance operations, troubleshooting with IT support vendor, state tax and compliance filings
Member Communications & Event Support (40%)
- Maintain our Member Hub by updating our Member Directory and ensuring knowledge repository contains all relevant reports, event recordings, and Annual Summit details
- Ensure Members are onboarded onto all communications platforms, including WhatsApp and email
- Create a monthly new member snapshot, highlighting member backgrounds and potential engagement areas
- Draft and send standard communications, including gift receipts and acknowledgments
- Support internal updates related to membership activity and growth
- Support member event execution from setup through follow-up, including managing event RSVPs, tracking attendance, recordings, administering post-event feedback and more
Reporting & Analysis Support (20%)
- Pull basic reports on member growth, retention, and engagement over time
- Support analysis to help leadership understand trends and participation patterns
- Assist in maintaining dashboards or recurring reporting for internal use
- Flag data gaps or inconsistencies for review by senior staff
Success Looks Like
- Member data is accurate, enriched, and consistently maintained across systems
- Leadership has reliable reports and dashboards showing member growth, engagement, and retention
- New members are fully onboarded into platforms and communications without delays or gaps
- Events run smoothly, with clean RSVP tracking, attendance data, and feedback captured
- Leadership spends less time on administrative work and more time on strategy and relationships

Compensation: $65-$85K. Additional comprehensive benefits include health, dental, vision, 401K matching, and 4 weeks PTO.
