Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with extensive experience in multi-location retail, hospitality, or restaurant sectors. This pivotal leadership role requires a forward-thinking financial expert who can steer our organization through complex financial landscapes, ensuring robust fiscal health and sustainable growth. The CFO will oversee all financial operations, including corporate accounting, revenue management, risk analysis, and regulatory compliance across multiple locations. Duties
- Lead the development and execution of comprehensive financial strategies aligned with organizational goals to maximize profitability and market share across multiple locations.
- Oversee corporate accounting functions, ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), and ASC 606 standards for revenue recognition.
- Direct financial reporting processes—preparing detailed financial reports, interpreting key metrics such as profit & loss statements, and presenting insights to senior leadership for informed decision-making.
- Ensure internal controls, and regulatory reporting requirements at local, state, federal levels.
- Lead any business activities requested by the board, by conducting market analysis, due diligence, valuation assessments, and integration planning to support business initiatives.
- Implement cost control measures and expense management strategies to optimize operational efficiency without compromising service quality.
- Oversee risk analysis procedures related to financial operations and develop mitigation plans to safeguard organizational assets.
- Supervise finance team and provide mentorship in areas such as payroll management, supply chain finance, cost accounting, and business analysis—fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with business development to identify new revenue streams and enhance revenue cycle management processes.
Skills
- Extensive experience in managing multi-location retail/hospitality or restaurant operations with proven leadership capabilities in senior financial role(s.)
- Deep understanding of corporate finance principles including budgeting, forecasting, fiscal management, and strategic planning.
- Strong technical accounting expertise relative government standards.
- Proficiency in financial software systems and advanced Excel modeling for complex financial analysis and scenario planning.
- Expertise in risk management practices including market analysis and regulatory compliance to mitigate organizational exposure.
- Skilled in negotiation and business development activities that support organizational growth objectives.
- Exceptional ability to interpret financial reports accurately while communicating insights clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Strong leadership qualities with experience supervising team; adept at fostering collaboration across departments such as cost management.
