CFO-Level Healthcare Finance Leader
New York (Hybrid Preferred)
Type: Full-Time
About the Company
We are a recently funded $27M Series A AI-native healthcare finance platform building the financial intelligence layer for hospitals and health systems.
Healthcare finance teams are overwhelmed by fragmented data, manual reporting, and reactive decision-making. Our platform connects disparate systems, automates financial analysis, and surfaces real-time insight so finance leaders can move margin proactively without compromising patient care.
We partner with health systems and medical groups across the United States, from multi-billion-dollar organizations to rural hospitals where financial clarity directly impacts patient access.
We are backed by leading venture investors and are scaling rapidly.
The Role
We are seeking a CFO-level healthcare finance leader to help architect and validate the financial intelligence behind our platform.
This is not a traditional operator role running an internal finance function. Instead, you will embed executive-level healthcare finance expertise directly into product development, ensuring our forecasting, variance analysis, and performance insights reflect how real health systems operate.
You will act as the senior financial authority within the organization, guiding the design of financial logic, validating assumptions, and shaping how insights surface to end users.
Key Responsibilities
• Validate and refine hospital P&L logic across service lines, labor, claims, and productivity
• Guide forecasting frameworks built off real GL and operational data
• Stress-test margin drivers and risk assumptions
• Advise on value-based care and managed care financial dynamics
• Provide executive-level “sniff test” validation on new product features
• Partner closely with AI engineers and product leaders to translate finance workflows into scalable intelligence
• Ensure outputs align with real-world health system decision-making
Who You Are
• Former or current Health System CFO, SVP Finance, or equivalent enterprise healthcare finance leader
• Deep experience in hospital or medical group financial operations
• Strong understanding of service line economics, labor models, reimbursement structures, and margin management
• Experienced in navigating value-based care and managed care environments
• Comfortable working hands-on with financial detail, not just at the strategic level
• Excited by early-stage environments and shaping new systems
Preferred
• Experience working with large healthcare ERP systems such as Oracle, EPIC, Cerner, or Strata
• Exposure to financial transformation initiatives or data modernization efforts
• Prior involvement in healthcare technology or advisory environments
Why This Role
• Direct influence over the next generation of healthcare financial intelligence
• Opportunity to shape a product used by health systems nationwide
• High-ownership role at a rapidly scaling, venture-backed company
• Flexible structure: full-time or fractional engagement
If you are motivated by improving financial clarity in healthcare and eliminating the tradeoff between margin and patient care, we would welcome the opportunity to connect.
