Our client, a prominent private real estate development firm is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to lead all accounting functions across corporate and construction operations. This hands-on role reports to executive leadership and plays a key part in financial reporting, internal controls, and strategic oversight.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all accounting functions: GL, AP/AR, job cost, and reporting
- Manage construction accounting: job costing, draws, and WIP
- Lead month-end close and prepare GAAP financials
- Coordinate audits and ensure compliance
- Mentor and lead a small accounting team
- Collaborate across development, construction, and executive teams
Qualifications:
- 12+ years in accounting; CPA preferred
- Deep experience in construction and corporate accounting
- Strong GAAP knowledge and leadership skills
- Proficiency in construction/real estate accounting systems
