Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our fundraising and investor relations efforts. This pivotal role will be primarily based in Mumbai, leveraging the city's vibrant capital markets ecosystem, while requiring regular travel to key financial hubs including Delhi, Hyderabad, and Bangalore, as well as our headquarters in Ahmedabad for management meetings and updates. The ideal candidate will drive strategic financial initiatives to support our growth trajectory, ensuring strong investor engagement and successful capital raising.
Key Responsibilities
- Fundraising Leadership: Spearhead fundraising activities, including equity and debt financing, venture capital, private equity, and other capital market transactions. Develop and execute fundraising strategies to fuel company expansion.
- Investor Relations: Manage relationships with investors, analysts, and stakeholders. Prepare and deliver investor communications, quarterly reports, presentations, and updates to maintain transparency and build trust.
- Financial Strategy and Governance: Collaborate with senior leadership on financial planning, budgeting, and risk management. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate governance standards.
- Pitch and Documentation: Create investment memorandums, pitch decks, and financial models to attract potential investors and partners.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Represent the company in meetings with banks, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies. Handle due diligence processes for fundraising rounds.
- Travel and Collaboration: Travel to Ahmedabad for management meetings, and to Delhi, Hyderabad, and Bangalore for investor outreach and financial hub engagements.
- Performance Monitoring: Track financial metrics, analyze market trends, and provide insights to optimize fundraising and IR strategies.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Chartered Accountant (CA), CFA, MBA in Finance, or equivalent professional qualification from a reputed institution.
- Experience: Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in finance, with a proven track record in fundraising, investor relations, or corporate finance. Experience in the IT or technology sector is preferred.
- Skills: Strong expertise in financial modeling, capital markets, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder management. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Other: Willingness to travel extensively. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. Proficiency in financial software and tools.
