Our client in the public sector is seeking a contract based Web Specialist responsible for leading GA4 and Google Tag Manager implementations, governing digital measurement strategy, and ensuring accurate, reliable behavioural analytics across web and app platforms.

Responsibilities
- Lead GA4 and Google Tag Manager (GTM) implementations, translating business measurement needs into technical tagging specifications and schemas.
- Ensure accurate, consistent tracking across websites and apps to support product launches, feature enhancements, campaigns, and enterprise reporting.
- Develop and maintain tagging documentation, measurement plans, and implementation guides for development teams.
- Govern and QA behavioral analytics tracking to maintain data integrity, compliance, and reliability.
- Partner with Product, UX, Development, and Marketing teams to embed measurement into new features and customer journeys prior to launch.
- Monitor digital performance to analyze funnels, journeys, feature adoption, and UX improvement opportunities.
- Deliver dashboards, insights, and reporting using tools such as Looker and Power BI, providing actionable recommendations.
- Act as the SME for digital analytics implementation and continuously improve tagging governance and data quality processes.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in digital analytics implementation in enterprise environments.
- Strong expertise in Google Analytics 4 (GA4), including event modeling, custom dimensions/metrics, enhanced measurement, and cross-platform tracking.
- Advanced experience with Google Tag Manager (web and/or server-side), including tag configuration strategy, debugging, testing, publishing workflows, and governance.
- Proven experience creating and maintaining measurement plans, tagging documentation, technical specifications, and developer implementation guides.
- Deep understanding of behavioral analytics concepts including funnels, user journeys, event-based tracking, and interaction analysis.
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Product, UX, Developers, and Marketing teams in agile delivery environments.
- Experience with visualization and BI tools such as Looker and Power BI.
- Nice to have: Experience with SQL or Python for data validation and connecting behavioral data to reporting ecosystems.
