Multi-Site Hospitality Group
£180,000–£200,000 + Bonus + Equity + Executive Benefits
London, with regular travel to sites across England
A high-growth, private equity-backed hospitality group is looking to appoint a commercially minded CFO to take a central leadership role across an established multi-site restaurant business at a pivotal stage in its development.
Working as a close peer and strategic partner to the CEO, the CFO will assume broad responsibility for the financial, commercial and strategic agenda of the business. They will be a key member of the Executive team and the principal interface with the Board, private equity investors, lenders and advisers, requiring the credibility, judgement and presence to influence at the highest level.
The role will combine significant strategic responsibility with a genuinely hands-on operating remit. The successful candidate will lead financial strategy, financing, investment and performance management, while maintaining close oversight of site-level trading, property decisions and operational delivery.
This is a newly created role offering the opportunity to shape the financial and commercial infrastructure of an ambitious group with profitable sites, a strong brand, an active programme of new openings and refurbishments, and significant potential for further growth. The CFO will play a central role in supporting that expansion while strengthening financial leadership, improving performance and helping the business navigate a range of strategic priorities, including financing, investment, property and the continued development of its operating platform.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Partnering with the CEO and Executive team to shape commercial and operational strategy.
- Leading financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and long-term strategic planning across the business.
- Managing Board, investor and banking relationships, including covenant reporting, refinancing and wider financing activity.
- Leading cash flow forecasting, treasury and liquidity management.
- Integrating and developing the finance function to create an effective platform for future growth.
- Leading and developing an experienced finance team.
- Providing clear commercial insight and challenge across site performance, pricing, labour, margins and cost control.
- Evaluating new site openings, refurbishments, closures and other capital investments.
- Supporting property strategy, including acquisitions, lease events and investment returns.
- Providing commercial oversight across Procurement, Supply Chain and IT.
- Supporting the development of delivery-channel and aggregator strategy.
- Overseeing financial reporting, audit, tax, controls, and statutory compliance.
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with proven senior finance leadership experience gained within a multi-site hospitality, leisure, retail or related consumer environment. They will bring strong private equity or investor-backed business experience, together with direct exposure to Boards, shareholders, banks and lenders. Experience of refinancing, covenant management and leveraged capital structures will be important.
They will combine strong commercial and operational instincts with the credibility to lead experienced senior finance professionals and challenge senior stakeholders effectively. The role requires someone with a track record of improving performance across complex, multi-site businesses, who is resilient, confident and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. They must also be willing to move seamlessly between Board-level, financing and strategic matters and detailed operational issues at site level.
The role is based in London for three to four days per week, with regular travel to sites across England.
This is a rare opportunity to take a central leadership role within an ambitious, well-backed hospitality group with a strong platform, clear growth potential and a significant agenda across expansion, financing, property and performance improvement. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape the business at a formative stage and play a major role in its next phase of development.
