Role Description
Monopar is seeking a Business Operations Associate & Office Manager to work alongside our dynamic and talented team. This associate-level position will sit at the center of our team’s daily operations and will involve administrative support, office operations, and support for cross-functional projects. This role requires 5 days/week on-site at our office in Wilmette, IL (north suburb of Chicago) and has opportunities for growth.
What you'll do ...
- Provide general administrative support, including scheduling meetings, booking travel, preparing expense reports, and drafting documents
- Support hiring activities, including scheduling interviews, booking travel, and coordinating on-site logistics
- Manage end-to-end onboarding for new hires, including payroll setup, benefits enrollment, and coordination with external HR/payroll vendors
- Assist the Quality team with managing and tracking training, routing new documents for signature, filing documents, etc.
- Regularly update internal logs in accordance with our Quality compliance requirements
- Assist in project management by tracking deadlines and facilitating communication
- Manage office needs, e.g., monitor and order office supplies such as stationery, electronics, furniture, food and drinks, and receive office mail
- Maintain internal calendars (e.g., Vacation and Key Events Calendars)
- Collaborate with senior management to improve office operations
What skills & experience you'll bring ...
- College degree plus 3 – 5 years of work experience
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills (you’ll be juggling multiple responsibilities that require prioritization)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Collaborative mindset and willingness to learn
- Pride of work product and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (SharePoint, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work in office 5 days a week – this is not a remote or hybrid role
Preferred experience:
- Experience in small or growth-stage biopharma
- Experience in GxP environment
- Familiarity with hiring processes and onboarding
Monopar Therapeutics is an equal opportunity employer. The estimated base pay for this position is $50,000 - $90,000, depending on qualifications and experience. Our benefits package includes health insurance, paid time off, 401k, annual corporate bonus, and opportunity for stock options.
