We are looking to expand our team with the addition of a Go-to-Market Generalist.
Our ideal candidate is someone who thrives at the intersection of sales, product, and entrepreneurship. This role is for someone who is energized by building relationships from scratch, turning conversations into opportunities, and shaping the product through direct customer exposure.
You will work directly with the President and Head of Product as a right hand across go-to-market, product feedback loops, and customer growth. You will spend time in the field — conferences, meetings, and events around the world — talking to innovation leaders, building relationships, and building net new relationships for the company.
You should be comfortable approaching strangers, leading thoughtful discovery conversations, forming strong opinions about product quality, and using AI tools to quickly prototype or illustrate ideas that move a prospect further down the funnel.
This role is particularly suited to someone who has experimented with entrepreneurship, early-stage sales, or building their own projects, and who enjoys operating in environments where the job requires a diversity of generalist skills and a hunger to find and close new opportunities.
Role Overview:
- Own front-of-funnel development: Identify and engage potential customers through conferences, industry events, and targeted outreach. Build authentic relationships with innovation leaders and create new opportunities for Aucctus.
- Represent Aucctus in the field: Travel globally to conferences and events. Speak confidently about our product, our philosophy on innovation, and how large companies should rethink their innovation systems.
- Run discovery conversations that uncover real problems: Lead thoughtful discovery calls that go beyond surface-level requirements. Ask the questions that reveal the actual pain points innovation teams face.
- Prototype possibilities during the sales process: Use AI tools and vibe coding to quickly mock up “what if we did X” product concepts that help prospects visualize how Aucctus could solve their problems.
- Act as a bridge between customers and product: Bring insights from conversations, events, and discovery calls directly into product discussions. Identify patterns across prospects and help shape what we build next.
- Develop product opinions grounded in real use cases: Review agentic outputs and product features critically. When something doesn’t work, articulate why — and help refine the solution.
- Help refine our GTM motion: Experiment with new ways to generate pipeline — events, partnerships, creative outreach, and unconventional front-funnel strategies.

- Clear Communicator:You can explain ideas clearly to both executives and operators. You are comfortable representing Aucctus in conversations with senior innovation leaders.
Qualifications:
- 1–4 years of experience in a role such as sales, consulting, innovation, startups, or entrepreneurship.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships with new people and develop opportunities through conversation.
- Experience running discovery calls or diagnosing customer problems.
- Strong familiarity with AI tools and workflows, including using them to prototype or communicate ideas.
- Comfort speaking about products, technology, and innovation concepts with senior stakeholders.
- A strong sense of ownership and accountability in ambiguous environments.
- University degree preferred but not required if you have demonstrated entrepreneurial or professional experience.
Nice to Have:
- Experience working with corporate innovation teams or within innovation programs.
- Previous experience attending or speaking at industry conferences or events.
- Experience building side projects, startups, or entrepreneurial ventures.
- Familiarity with AI development tools, vibe coding environments, or rapid prototyping workflows.
- Willing to develop strong opinions, loosely held.
Working Conditions:
- Hybrid role based in Toronto with frequent domestic and international travel for conferences and client events.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada.
- Reports to the President and Head of Product.
Compensation:
- Base salary is between CAD$90,000 - $110,000, plus equity and performance-based incentives.
