Chief Financial Officer (Renewable Energy)
Our client is a large PE fund and is embarking on setting up a renewable energy platform in SEA, headquarters out of Singapore.
The CFO will take ownership of core finance, treasury, and corporate development activities, ensuring the company is well-positioned for continued expansion. This is both a hands-on and strategic position, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping investment decisions, managing capital allocation, and building a solid finance function.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee group financial management, corporate finance, and capital structure optimisation
- Structuring and executing project financing, including debt and equity fundraising, and managing relationships with banks and legal advisors.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes across multiple jurisdictions
- Support fundraising and M&A transactions including due diligence, structuring, and integration
- Deliver board-ready financial reporting and insights, ensuring transparency and alignment with strategic goals
- Strengthen treasury and cash management frameworks to support capital-intensive growth
- Implement governance, risk, and control measures to ensure sustainable scalability
- Mentor and talent across the group, fostering a high-performance culture
Key Requirements
- 15+ years of finance experience across corporate finance, FP&A, fundraising, and M&A, ideally within energy, infrastructure, or capital-intensive industries preferably renewable energy
- Strong exposure to multi-country operations with proven consolidation expertise
- Professional qualification (CA preferred)
- Demonstrated success in partnering with C-suite and boards, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Hands-on leadership style, capable of balancing execution with strategic vision
