A rapidly growing, VC-backed climate tech company is hiring a Finance Lead (CFO track) in Singapore. This early-stage startup is tackling a critical decarbonisation challenge in a traditionally hard-to-abate sector and has raised capital from leading global impact investors.
The business is looking for a high-potential finance leader to join the team early, work directly with the Founder, and build the finance function from the ground up. You will operate as a true #1 in finance, with full ownership across financial operations, while also being exposed to strategic initiatives including fundraising, asset structuring, and new business build-outs.
This is a hands-on role - ideal for someone who is excited to roll up their sleeves in a lean team and grow with the company.
What you will do
- Build and run the finance function end-to-end (with outsourced accounting support initially)
- Work directly with the Founder on financial strategy, fundraising, and business planning
- Support debt structuring and asset financing initiatives
- Develop financial models, budgets, and cash flow management frameworks
- Set up financial controls, processes, and reporting from scratch
- Get involved in strategic projects, including newco / asset holding structures and partnerships
What we are looking for
- Big 4 background (Audit or Transaction Services)
- 6-10 years of experience, ideally with some exposure to a startup or high-growth environment
- Experience in a hands-on finance role (FP&A, controllership, or finance manager level)
- Exposure to debt financing, transaction advisory, or capex-heavy businesses is a plus
- Strong fundamentals with willingness to get involved in detail (e.g. journals, controls, processes)
- Commercial mindset and interest in sustainability / climate
