We are seeking a highly analytical
Sales Operations Manager to support and optimize the performance of our
Financial Services sales vertical. In this role, you will leverage data, reporting infrastructure, and structured analysis to drive sales efficiency, predictability, and strategic decision-making. You will work closely with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Product, and Finance to build a data-driven operating foundation that supports our go-to-market efforts across banks, credit unions, wealth managers, lenders, and other financial institutions.
A successful candidate is data-obsessed, process-oriented, and comfortable translating complex SQL queries and analytics into actionable insights for leadership.
What you will do:
Data, Analytics & Reporting
- Build and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and forecasting models to support pipeline visibility and sales performance for the Financial Services vertical.
- Use SQL to pull, clean, and model data from multiple systems (CRM, data warehouse, marketing platforms) to provide deep analysis on trends, pipeline quality, win/loss patterns, retention risk, and revenue performance.
- Diagnose performance gaps using data-driven insights and recommend corrective action in collaboration with Sales Leadership.
- Monitor vertical-specific KPIs (deal velocity, conversion benchmarks, ACV trends, territory coverage, and product adoption metrics).
Sales Process Optimization
- Design and continuously refine sales processes tailored to the Financial Services vertical, using quantitative analysis to validate improvements.
- Implement process automations and workflow logic in the CRM to increase sales productivity and reduce administrative overhead.
- Measure process adherence and data hygiene through systematic audits and reporting.
CRM, Systems, and Tooling
- Administer and optimize the CRM platform, ensuring accurate data capture across complex financial institution hierarchies and multi-stakeholder buying groups.
- Collaborate with Product teams to align internal workflows with CRM features tailored to financial services use cases (e.g., compliance workflows, loan pipeline stages).
- Evaluate and implement new sales tools, ensuring each integrates cleanly with existing data models and reporting infrastructure.
Forecasting & Revenue Planning
- Own forecasting processes for the Financial Services sales vertical, using data modeling, historical trends, and rep-level analytics to improve forecast accuracy.
- Support annual and quarterly revenue planning, including territory design, capacity modeling, quota setting, and segmentation strategies.
- Provide monthly and quarterly business reviews with executive-ready insights backed by rigorous data analysis.
Cross-Functional Revenue Operations
- Partner with Marketing Ops to analyze lead scoring, funnel performance, and campaign attribution for the Financial Services segment.
- Work with Customer Success Ops to track onboarding success, product adoption, renewal rates, and expansion opportunities.
- Collaborate with Finance to reconcile bookings data, validate pipeline assumptions, and support pricing or discount structure analysis.
Governance & Compliance Support
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with internal controls—critical for operating within a regulated vertical like Financial Services.
- Create and manage documentation for all sales processes, data schemas, and reporting standards.
- Lead initiatives to improve data governance across GTM systems.
What you will need:
- 4–7+ years of experience in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, Business Operations, or similar analytical roles.
- Strong SQL skills with experience joining large datasets, building data models, and writing performance-optimized queries.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and BI/analytics tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or similar).
- Deep understanding of B2B SaaS or enterprise sales cycles; experience in Financial Services or FinTech is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to turn quantitative analysis into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Experience managing CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, or vertical CRM platforms), including automation and workflow development.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to deliver insights to senior leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting sales teams focused on banks, credit unions, wealth management firms, lenders, or other financial institutions.
- Understanding of industry-specific sales motions, compliance considerations, and multi-stakeholder deal structures.
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and tools such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
- Background in Revenue Operations or Sales Enablement for a vertical SaaS product.
