SRM are partnering with a well-established, medium sized organisation undergoing a period of transformation and commercial growth to appoint a commercially orientated Chief Financial Officer.
This is a Board-level leadership role, working closely with the CEO and Executive Team to shape financial strategy, strengthen governance, and support the organisation’s long-term commercial development.
The successful candidate will combine strategic financial leadership with a hands-on approach, ensuring robust financial performance, strong governance and high-quality insight to support key business decisions.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO will lead the finance function and act as a trusted advisor to the Executive Team and Board.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the organisation’s financial strategy, planning and performance management
- Ownership of budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling to support growth and investment decisions
- Delivering clear financial insight and commercial analysis to inform strategic decision making
- Ensuring robust financial governance, controls and regulatory compliance
- Presenting financial performance and risk analysis to the Board and Executive Leadership Team
- Leading the external audit process and managing key relationships with auditors and advisors
- Oversight of company secretarial and corporate governance matters
- Strengthening financial systems, processes and reporting capability across the organisation
- Working cross-functionally with leadership teams to support data-driven decision making and operational performance
Applicant Requirements:
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent professional qualification
- Proven experience as a senior finance leader within a large organisation, 'knows what good looks like' bringing same disciplines to a scaling business
- Strong experience across financial planning, reporting, governance and risk management
- Experience presenting at Board and Executive level
- Strong commercial judgement and the ability to translate financial insight into practical business decisions
- Experience strengthening ERP systems, controls and processes
- A collaborative leadership style with the ability to build and develop high-performing teams
- Comfortable working predominantly on-site with hybrid working available when required.
