The opportunity
We’re hiring our founding GTM Lead to lead the build out the revenue engine from the ground up. This is not a plug-and-play closing seat. You’ll work directly with the founders to shape our go-to-market motion, refine our messaging, own deals end to end, and help define how Focal wins in the market. You’ll sell into advisory firms, and larger financial institutions that need a secure, compliant, high-ROI way to automate meeting workflows, advisor admin, CRM updates, and client follow-up. This role is for someone who wants to build the playbook, not inherit it.
What you’ll own
- Own the full sales and GTM cycle from first conversation through close and expansion
- Build pipeline through outbound prospecting, relationship-building, and disciplined follow-up
- Run consultative discovery around advisor workflows, operational pain, compliance requirements, and growth goals
- Deliver compelling demos that connect Focal’s product to measurable customer outcomes
- Partner with the founders to sharpen ICP, messaging, pricing feedback, and competitive positioning
- Work cross-functionally with product and customer success to translate market feedback into product and onboarding improvements
- Build repeatable sales assets and systems, including playbooks, objection handling, call notes, and forecast hygiene
- Help transition Focal from founder-led sales to a repeatable, scalable GTM motion
What we’re looking for
- 4+ years of experience in high growth company with a background in Product, Operations, Sales or GTM
- Consistent track record of hitting or exceeding sales quota
- Strong discovery, demo, negotiation, and closing skills
- Ability to sell to multiple stakeholders, including advisors, operations leaders, compliance teams, and executive buyers
- Comfort in ambiguous, fast-moving environments where process is still being built
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- High ownership, strong judgment, and genuine customer empathy
