Our client, a regional public health organization serving a population of more than 400,000 residents, is seeking a Director of Corporate Services & Chief Financial Officer to join its leadership team.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and serving as a member of the Leadership Team, the CFO will play a key role in supporting organizational decision-making, financial stewardship, and long-term planning. The role provides executive oversight of the organization’s finance, information technology, and facilities functions, ensuring strong governance, operational effectiveness, and financial accountability across the organization.
Operating within a provincially funded public health environment, the CFO will support the CEO and Board in financial planning, reporting, and strategic decision-making while strengthening the organization’s financial processes and reporting infrastructure.
Key responsibilities include:
• Providing leadership and oversight of the finance function, including budgeting, financial planning, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Supporting the CEO, Leadership Team, and Board with financial analysis and strategic insight
• Strengthening financial processes, reporting discipline, and financial visibility across the organization
• Overseeing financial reporting and compliance with government funding and accountability requirements
• Providing executive oversight for information technology and facilities functions
• Supporting organizational planning, risk management, and operational decision-making
The ideal candidate will bring progressive finance leadership experience within a government-funded or public sector environment, with a strong understanding of ministry funding structures and associated reporting requirements. Candidates should demonstrate experience leading budgeting and financial planning processes, improving financial reporting and controls, and partnering with senior leadership to support organizational strategy.
A Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
