A great client at UHY is seeking a Chief Financial Officer. The ideal candidate will have strong financial leadership, manufacturing cost accounting expertise, and strategic growth and forecasting experience.
The Chief Financial Officer role is an onsite position. This is a client direct hire position.
Chief Financial Officer Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting and finance functions and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial statements
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and present financial reporting to leadership and the Board
- Maintain audit-ready financials and strengthen internal controls and financial processes
- Develop and refine cost accounting practices including burden rates, departmental costing, and project accounting
- Support profitability analysis across product lines and operational initiatives
- Build annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and cash flow projections
- Monitor revenue recognition, billing structures, and working capital management
- Develop KPIs focused on production efficiency, margin improvement, and overall financial performance
- Support acquisition initiatives including due diligence and integration planning
- Evaluate capital investments, ROI, and long-term growth strategies
- Manage banking relationships and support capital and expansion initiatives
- Partner closely with executive leadership and operations to support modernization, automation, and system improvements
- Leverage analytics and reporting tools to enhance financial insights and forecasting
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team while strengthening structure and accountability within the department
Chief Financial Officer Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment
- Strong expertise in cost accounting, burden rate development, and multi-department manufacturing costing
- Experience in capital equipment, engineered-to-order, or industrial manufacturing environments preferred
- Proven experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Experience managing banking relationships and financial strategy initiatives
- Exposure to mergers, acquisitions, and due diligence processes preferred
- ERP experience, ideally in multi-system environments
- High level of financial systems proficiency and comfort with analytics and AI-enabled tools
