The Opportunity
Numerica seeks to recruit a CFO) who will play a key role in driving short-term results, long-term growth and profitability of the organization. The CFO is a critical contributor among the leadership team, with full responsibility for leading and managing Numerica’s financial function in alignment with the company’s overall strategic agenda. The CFO will oversee all aspects of finance, treasury, accounting, and financial reporting. Additionally, this individual will function as a key player in developing the overall strategic direction of Numerica. This position advises and reports directly to the President/CEO.
The ideal candidate will be a highly engaged and collaborative leader, someone who brings an innovative and intelligent point of view and a healthy level of skepticism to the decision-making process. The CFO will be tasked with continuing to elevate the overall performance, sophistication, and positive impact of the organization.
The CFO must operate with the utmost integrity, bring influential and effective interpersonal skills, possess refined emotional intelligence, and have an impressive history of team leadership.
More specifically, key responsibilities will include:
- Work closely with all leadership of the Credit Union, including the Board of Directors. Identifies the C-suite as their #1 team, building a strong level of team health while focusing on overall organizational results.
- Ensure accurate and compliant financial management by performing all accounting duties in accordance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, and CEO-established standards. Responsibilities include maintaining timely and reliable records of assets, liabilities, income, expenses, and reserves, as well as ensuring the accounting and data processing systems comply with all applicable federal and state regulations and financial management standards
- Oversee the accounting, treasury, and finance functions. Manage, develop and monitor the performance and strategic plans for each area under supervision. Ensure accurate, timely reporting on activities to the President/CEO, other senior executives, and the Board of Directors.
- Develop meaningful financial goals and establishes realistic profitability and growth targets. Effectively coordinate the credit union’s financial planning processes and manage the creation of financial forecasts and the annual budget. Administer and direct the budget management process.
- Provide financial analysis to identify and explain budget variances and financial trends. Enhance reporting systems and methodologies, including organizational, product and member profitability. Maintain cost allocations and funds transfer pricing methodologies and management reporting framework.
- Work with Asset/Liability Committee to effectively address asset-liability management, interest rate risk, liquidity, and capital adequacy. Evaluate and oversee credit union balance sheet management including pricing strategies, capital markets and secondary market loan sales, and development of balance sheet mix targets.
- Work closely with external auditors, federal and state credit union examiners to ensure the credit union is in compliance with prescribed accounting methods set out in regulation, law, FASB rules, and generally accepted accounting principles.
- Participate in community involvement and events in order to promote the credit union and support our community.

- Dynamic, performance minded, forward-looking and data-led leader with proven track record of driving budgeting, forecasting and overall financial discipline within a complex organization.
