What You’ll Do
Business Operations at Slalom is responsible for the end-to-end operational health of our markets and accounts. The function enables the business to run smoothly by driving annual planning, managing pipeline and forecasting, supporting engagement setup, monitoring financial performance, and delivering clear, actionable reporting. We work as trusted operational partners to our market leaders, ensuring clarity in priorities, consistency in processes, and confidence in how the business is performing.
The Business Operations Manager plays a critical leadership role in this function, overseeing the operational performance of Slalom’s Georgia Alabama market. This position blends strategic influence with hands-on execution: acting as a trusted advisor to senior leaders while also directly supporting one or more portfolios as a player-coach. The Business Operations Manager ensures operational excellence, drives alignment between global initiatives and local needs, and develops the next generation of business operations talent.
Responsibilities Include
Strategic Leadership & Influence
- Serve as a trusted advisor and thought partner to market leadership, providing data-driven insights and clear recommendations.
- Influence priorities and decision-making across the market to ensure alignment with regional and global strategies.
- Communicate persuasively across diverse audiences, simplifying complex concepts into compelling narratives for senior leaders.
- Act as the connective tissue between global initiatives and the local market; translating strategy into actionable plans and ensuring effective operationalization.
Operational Excellence
- Own the prioritization and delivery of all business operations activities for the market, ensuring minimum service levels are consistently achieved.
- Enhance operational maturity by designing and implementing scalable, repeatable solutions to systemic challenges.
- Identify operational risks (e.g., aged receivables, working at risk, engagement financials) and surface them proactively with recommended actions.
- Shape and improve processes and ways of working to drive efficiency, predictability, and strong business performance.
- Drive coordinated action across teams by building buy-in, navigating ambiguity, and aligning stakeholders.
- Participate in and/or lead global initiatives that advance operational excellence across Slalom.
People Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and coach one or more business operations team members, supporting their workload management, performance, and career growth.
- Support or deliver learning opportunities that uplift the broader business operations community.
- Build confidence, excitement, and alignment around organizational changes and new ways of working.
What You’ll Bring
- 7–10+ years of professional experience, ideally in operations, consulting, or related field.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to partner with and influence senior leaders.
- Demonstrated financial and business acumen; ability to interpret and communicate financial performance.
- Exceptional analytical skills and comfort with data-driven decision making.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in fast-moving environments.
- Experience with Microsoft technologies (Excel required) and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Experience in process design, optimization, or continuous improvement.
- Prior people leadership experience
Preferred Experience
- Professional services industry experience.
- Salesforce or similar CRM tool.
- PowerBI or comparable analytics tool.

- Atlanta, GA
- Hybrid role, with minimum 2 days a week in the office

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this role, we are hiring at the following levels and targeted base pay salary ranges: The targeted base salary pay range for this position is $115,000 to $145,000. In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
