We are partnering with a profitable, fast-scaling fintech in Southeast Asia to appoint their first Chief Financial Officer. This is a rare opportunity to step into a hands-on CFO role and shape the financial strategy of a high-growth lending platform expanding across multiple markets.
This is not a corporate CFO role. We are looking for a builder, someone comfortable operating in a lean environment and driving both strategy and execution.
As CFO, you will take full ownership of the finance function and play a critical role in scaling the company responsibly. This role is heavily focused on debt financing, not equity fundraising.
The opportunity:
- First CFO hire, reporting directly to the CEO.
- Profitable FinTech with strong growth trajectory.
- Expansion into multiple Southeast Asian markets.
- Lead capital strategy and debt fundraising.
- Build and scale the finance function from the ground up.
- Work hands-on with a small finance team supporting operations across multiple countries.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead debt fundraising across banks, private credit, and structured facilities.
- Own capital structure, liquidity, and treasury strategy.
- Build financial infrastructure to support multi-market expansion.
- Partner with CEO on strategic growth initiatives.
- Develop investor reporting and funding roadmap.
- Implement forecasting, unit economics, and portfolio performance tracking.
- Operate as a hands-on CFO in a lean environment with direct operational involvement.
The company:
- Consumer-focused financial inclusion platform,
- Earned Wage Access as an entry product, subscription-based core business,
- Already profitable, rare at this stage for FinTech,
- Operating across Southeast Asia with aggressive global expansion plans,
- Strong ethical positioning, not a traditional lender.
Must-have experience (knock-out criteria):
- Strong background in Earned Wage Access or FinTech with heavy debt raising,
- Senior finance leadership (CFO / Head of Finance / Finance Director level),
- Comfortable operating in fast-scaling, early-stage environments,
- No more than 2 positions in the last 5 years!
Highly relevant backgrounds:
- Earned Wage Access companies,
- FinTechs with debt facilities,
- PE-backed portfolio companies,
- Investment Banking / PE profiles with a strong operator mindset.
Not a fit if you are:
- A purely corporate CFO,
- Focused only on equity fundraising,
- Looking for a low-intensity or advisory role.
Location:
- Bangkok or Singapore (remote first is ok),
- Relocation possible for the right candidate,
- Regional / international remit.
Compensation
- USD 20,000 per month OTE,
- Equity participation included,
