Role Overview
Our client is seeking a seasoned Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to guide financial strategy during a critical phase of expansion and commercialization. This leader will drive capital raising, oversee investor and financing activities, and build the financial and operational systems needed to scale a high growth manufacturing business.
The ideal candidate brings experience leading finance at early- or growth-stage companies, including taking a company public and securing large-scale project financing. Working closely with the CEO, board, and executive team, this individual will shape strategy, uphold financial rigor, and support company-wide execution as the organization grows.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Own and direct the company’s overall financial roadmap as it transitions from initial commercialization to international scale
- Design and manage capital strategies, including fundraising across equity and debt, large scale project funding, and public market preparedness
- Collaborate with executive leadership and the board on business strategy, investor messaging, and long range planning
- Cultivate and manage relationships with investors, banks, and key financial and strategic stakeholders
- Oversee all core finance functions, including accounting, reporting, tax, audit, and regulatory compliance
- Build and refine forecasting tools, financial models, and performance metrics to support strategic decisions and capital efficiency
- Lead funding efforts for new production facilities, structuring complex financing across multiple sources
- Implement scalable financial processes, systems, and internal controls for a growing, multi-location manufacturing business
- Partner with operations to assess investments, optimize cost structures, and evaluate returns on expansion initiatives
- Guide readiness for a potential public offering, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and public company requirements
- Act as a key advisor to senior leadership, contributing to both day-to-day execution and long-term growth strategy
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related discipline; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., MBA or CPA) highly valued
- Over ten to fifteen years of senior finance experience with increasing responsibility, including leadership roles in high growth or industrial settings
- Track record of leading a company through a public listing process or executing major capital markets transactions
- Experience securing and structuring complex, large scale financing for capital intensive projects, preferably in manufacturing or infrastructure
- Strong expertise in corporate finance, long-term planning, and capital markets strategy
- History of building and scaling finance teams within early- to growth-stage organizations
- Solid knowledge of cost structures, operational finance, and supply chain dynamics within a production environment
- Advanced skills in financial modeling, data analysis, and strategic decision-making
- Strong interpersonal and communication capabilities, with established relationships across investor and finance networks
- Interest in sustainability, innovative materials, and technology-driven change in the construction and industrial sectors
