About the Company
The Sales Operation Manager will lead and develop a high-performing inside sales team dedicated to driving revenue growth for vending machines, micro markets, and related equipment, parts, and services. This role oversees both inbound and outbound sales activities, supports distributor and operator relationships, and ensures disciplined execution across quoting, follow-up, and CRM processes. As a key driver in converting leads into orders, the Sales Operation Manager collaborates closely with field sales and distributors to deliver a best-in-class customer experience that reflects Wittern Core Values of integrity, respect, and teamwork.
Responsibilities
As the Inside Sales Team Leader, you will drive revenue growth and team success by leading, coaching, and developing a high-performing sales team. Your key responsibilities include:
- Leading and mentoring the inside sales team to consistently achieve revenue, margin, and activity targets.
- Establishing clear performance expectations, KPIs, and accountability measures for individual and team results.
- Fostering a collaborative, customer-focused culture built on integrity, respect, and teamwork.
- Driving sales of vending machines, micro markets, parts, and service offerings through inbound inquiries and proactive outbound outreach.
- Identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities across equipment, payment systems, and aftermarket solutions.
- Resolving customer issues related to pricing, delivery coordination, and order accuracy promptly and professionally.
- Ensuring a consistent, high-quality customer experience from initial contact through order fulfillment.
- Maintaining accurate CRM data, including lead status, opportunities, quotes, and sales forecasts.
- Championing data-driven decision-making and continuous process improvement to optimize sales performance.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of inside sales experience, including at least 2 years in a sales leadership or supervisory role.
- Proven track record in selling equipment, durable goods, or B2B solutions; experience in vending, foodservice, industrial, or route-based industries is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop sales teams to consistently meet or exceed targets.
- Strong proficiency with CRM systems, with disciplined pipeline management and accurate sales forecasting.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Preferred experience in vending, unattended retail, foodservice equipment, or distribution industries.
- Solid understanding of operator and distributor sales models.
- Financial acumen with skills in pricing, margin analysis, and profitability management.
- Familiarity with collaboration models between inside and field sales teams.
