Job Overview:
The Accounts & Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial health of the company, including managing accounting functions, preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing financial analysis and strategic recommendations. This role will involve working closely with senior management to support business decision-making and ensure efficient financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss Statement, Cash Flow).
- Oversee the preparation of consolidated financial reports and ensure compliance with accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
- Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and adjustments to ensure accuracy.
2. Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Lead the budgeting process, working with department heads to prepare and consolidate departmental budgets.
- Provide financial forecasts and track performance against budget, highlighting variances and providing insights for improvement.
- Analyze financial data and trends to assist in strategic planning and decision-making.
3. Cash Flow Management:
- Monitor cash flow, ensure adequate working capital, and manage cash flow projections.
- Oversee the management of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
4. Internal Controls and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with internal financial controls, accounting policies, and relevant financial regulations.
- Conduct periodic internal audits to ensure financial processes are being followed accurately and efficiently.
- Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
5. Taxation:
- Oversee the preparation and filing of tax returns, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws.
- Hands on experience on GST and Income Tax litigation related matters.
- Keep updated on tax regulations and manage tax planning to minimize liabilities.
6.Team Leadership:
- Manage, guide, and train the finance and accounting team, ensuring efficient operations and professional development.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to junior staff, providing oversight and support as needed.
7.Financial Analysis & Strategy:
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to senior management to support business decisions and enhance profitability.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities, potential risks, and areas for financial improvement.
8.Financial Systems & Process Improvement:
- Continuously improve financial processes, systems, and tools to ensure greater accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness.
- Lead system upgrades or new system implementations related to finance and accounting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree or MBA preferred).
- Professional certification CA
- Minimum 10 years of experience in accounting and finance, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and financial reporting.
- Strong understanding of tax laws, financial regulations, and compliance.
- Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial modeling tools.

- Experience in FMCG, Pharma, or any other manufacturing industry.
