Job Description: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Reporting To: Board of Directors
Location: Mumbai headquarters, with oversight of manufacturing units (Dadra, Silvassa; Sarigam, Gujarat)
Experience: 15 - 20 yrs
Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) / Cost & Management Accountant (CMA) / CPA (US) or equivalent, with a strong academic record.
Preferred Competencies:
1. Strategic Financial Leadership – ability to translate strategy into financial road-map, including capital structure design, funding planning and investment prioritization.
2. IPO/Capital Markets Experience – proven track record of leading or participating in an IPO (preparation, due diligence, listing and post-listing compliance).
3. Manufacturing/Industrial Sector Acumen – familiarity with manufacturing cost structures (raw materials, working capital, capex), especially in technical textiles or allied sectors.
4. Regulatory & Governance Expertise – deep knowledge of Indian accounting standards (Ind-AS), tax & regulatory environment, compliance under public markets, audit & internal controls
5. Business Partnering & Stakeholder Management – ability to work closely with manufacturing, operations, supply-chain, sales/export teams to align financial objectives with business operations; engage with Board, auditors, banks, investors.
6. Risk Management & Treasury Skills – capability to manage cash flow, foreign-exchange exposure, working capital, debt financing, hedging (given export markets perhaps).
7. Change Management & Systems Orientation – readiness to lead finance transformation (systems, process improvements, controls) to elevate a private manufacturing company to listing-grade.
8. Leadership & Talent Development – strong team building, developing successors, instilling finance-discipline across the organization.
9. Communication & Investor Mindset – ability to present financials clearly, build investor-confidence, respond to due diligence, and handle investor relations post-listing.
10. Integrity & Ethical Standards – highest standards of professional integrity, especially important given public-market readiness, ESG and governance visibility.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
· Chartered Accountant (CA) / Cost & Management Accountant (CMA) / CPA (US) or equivalent, with a strong academic record.
· 15 + years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles, preferably in manufacturing/industrial sector, with international exposure desirable.
· Demonstrated experience of successfully taking a company to IPO (either in India or internationally) — from preparation through execution and post-listing operations.
· Proven track-record in planning & executing large capital investments, managing working capital in manufacturing contexts, cost optimization and delivering financial performance.
· Deep knowledge of accounting standards (Ind AS/IFRS), tax laws, treasury management, investor relations and public company governance.
· Strong experience in financial modelling, valuation, due diligence, capital markets and listing processes.
· Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder-management skills; ability to engage with Board, investors, lenders and auditors.
· High integrity, commercial mindset, strong analytical and strategic thinking skills. Exposure to industrial textiles or technical fabrics is a plus, but not mandatory.
