Job Summary: The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key leadership role within TASC, responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the organization. This position involves providing strategic financial leadership, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting the organization's mission and vision. The CFO will work closely with the executive team and board to drive financial strategy and planning.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the organization's mission and objectives.
- Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans in collaboration with the executive team.
- Monitor financial performance against budget, providing regular reports to the CEO and board of directors.
- Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, reporting, and compliance with GAAP and nonprofit regulations.
- Present financial reports to stakeholders, highlighting key metrics and trends.
- Manage corporate purchasing activities, negotiate vendor contracts, and oversee grant and revenue contracts.
- Implement administrative policies and procedures to support financial operations.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and nonprofit accounting standards.
- Develop internal controls to safeguard organizational assets and mitigate financial risks.
- Oversee grant management, including budgeting, reporting, and compliance with grant requirements.
- Manage the revenue cycle, including billing for various insurance programs and optimizing claims and utilization management.
- Lead and mentor the finance team, providing supervision for related departments and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with operational leaders to align financial strategies with program goals and effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Evaluate and implement financial systems and technologies to improve efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting and operations.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive financial experience, with at least 5 years in a senior financial leadership role, preferably in the nonprofit healthcare sector.
- Strong knowledge of nonprofit accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Proven experience in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
