Job Description:
The VP of Sales Operations will lead several functions of the Global Legal Solutions sales team including sales KPI reporting, salesforce.com, sales quota setting, commission design and overall implementation of new sales enablement processes. The VP of Sales Operations will report to the Legal Solutions Senior Vice President of Sales.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities:
- Align planning, forecasting and budgeting efforts with company and segment objectives
- Develop and improve sales reporting and metrics
- Drive improved ROI with inside sales
- Counsel sales leadership in sales organization structure and resource optimization
- Works with sales leadership to allocate quotas and balance territories
- Oversee planning and management for roles, responsibilities, territory strategy, coverage and rules of engagement within the sales organization
- Help identify solutions and/or technologies that drive sales efficiency and/or revenue growth
- Research, define and launch programs
- Measure program success and outcomes
- Aligns with sales enablement and Marketing to develop goals and objectives for sales effectiveness
- Work closely with sales management to inspect sales process quality, identify and prioritize opportunities for improvement; assist with understanding process bottlenecks and inconsistencies and facilitate continuous process improvement
- Works closely with the solution architect leader to ensure quality RFP responses and that the team can support sales presentations to ensure we win
- Drives adoption and usage of SalesForce.com
- Works with human resources and sales finance to develop and manage the sales compensation plan across all stakeholders
- Advocates for the sales function and sales leadership with executive management
Required Qualifications & Characteristics
- A minimum of seven (10) years sales, sales support or sales operations experience.
- A minimum of five (5) years leading a sales support function
- Must be able to manage of department of 10+
- A Bachelor’s (BA) degree. Masters of Business Administration (MBA) or similar advanced degrees a plus;
- Proven managerial, leadership and staff development skills to motivate sales support team members and provide professional growth allowing them to assume additional responsibilities.
- Oral and written communication skills which provide a strong and confident executive presence.
- Expert negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal
Your specific salary will be determined based on several factors:
- Location-based market rate for the role
- Your abilities in relation to the job specification
- Performance during screening and interview
- Pay parity with the wider team in the considered location
