Target Compensation: $235,000-$250,000 base salary + potential bonus + comprehensive benefits
Key Responsibilities For The Chief Financial Officer
- Lead all finance, accounting, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, and cash management functions
- Oversee government grants, contracts, Medicaid/Medicare billing, audits, and regulatory reporting
- Partner with the CEO and Board to provide financial strategy, analysis, and decision support
- Manage and develop a finance organization of 10-12 professionals across accounting, grants, billing, and financial operations
- Drive process improvements, internal controls, financial reporting enhancements, and systems modernization initiatives
Qualifications For The Chief Financial Officer
- 12+ years of senior nonprofit finance leadership experience, including CFO-level responsibility
- Deep expertise with government grants, contracts, restricted funding, Medicaid/Medicare reimbursement, and audit management
- Strong knowledge of nonprofit accounting, GAAP, budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance requirements
- CPA and experience with NYC nonprofit organizations, government funding, and PASSPort preferred
