What You'll Do
- Shape and execute the company's overall financial strategy in partnership with executive leadership
- Lead all financial operations including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Oversee job costing, work-in-progress (WIP) reporting, and project-level financial performance to ensure transparency and accountability
- Design and maintain robust financial models and forecasts to drive decision-making and strategic planning
- Drive continuous improvements in financial processes, systems, and reporting accuracy to enhance financial visibility and controls
- Manage all banking relationships, capital strategy, debt structuring, and financing initiatives
- Partner closely with operations leaders to optimize project margins, cost controls, and profitability
- Lead organizational budgeting, financial planning, and long-range forecasts
- Ensure the highest standards of compliance, internal controls, and integrity across all financial activities
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance and accounting team capable of supporting growth
- Prepare and present insightful analysis and recommendations to ownership, board, and senior colleagues
- Support M&A due diligence and integration activities as needed
What We're Looking For
- 10-20+ years of progressive finance experience, with significant exposure to construction or project-based industries
- Deep expertise in job costing, WIP schedules, and construction financials
- Demonstrated experience in a growth-stage or scaling company environment
- Proven leadership experience building or leading high-caliber finance teams
- CPA designation or equivalent advanced financial qualification preferred
- Strong ability to translate complex financial data into actionable business insights
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with an ability to partner with owners and cross-functional teams
- Strategic thinker who brings clarity, structure, and accountability to rapidly growing environments
- High ownership mentality with a hands-on approach and meticulous attention to detail
- Deep understanding of financial systems, GAAP compliance, and financial best practices
- Flexibility and drive to adapt in a fast-paced, ever-evolving business setting
