Role Overview
The CFO will play a strategic and operational leadership role especially driving the fund raising activities of the company, driving banking relations, driving financial discipline, develop business models, Investor readiness, Investor Engagement and compliance excellence. This individual will be a key member of the leadership team, helping shape the company’s financial growth trajectory in a rapidly evolving technology landscape.
Key Responsibilities
🔹 Strategic Financial Leadership
- Drive long-term financial strategy and planning aligned with the company’s strategic goals.
- Act as a financial advisor to the Promotors, Investors, Management Team, Leaderships Team, providing insights on business performance, fundraising, and capital allocation.
- Develop Business Model and prepare pitch deck while working with Promotors, Management team, third parties
- Lead valuation modelling and investor relations during funding rounds.
- Maintain good business relationship with banks mainly for improved credit limits to ensure healthy financials of the company.
- Fund raising through various government schemes like MSME Schemes, PLI, Government Projects, etc.
🔹 Fundraising & Investor Management
- Prepare and present financials for venture capital, private equity, and government funding initiatives.
- Liaise with potential and current investors, financial institutions, and government agencies.
🔹 Financial Operations & Controls
- Establish and oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management processes.
- Ensure robust internal controls, cost optimization, and operational efficiencies across departments.
- Work closely with accounts team and drive them appropriate direction
🔹 Compliance & Risk Management
- Work closely with accounts team to ensure timely and accurate compliance with statutory, tax, audit, and regulatory requirements (e.g., MCA, GST, ROC, Income Tax, FEMA).
- Monitor risk exposure and lead risk mitigation strategies including insurance, forex, and legal frameworks.
🔹ERP & Technology Integration
- Spearhead integration of ERP systems, MIS dashboards, and real-time reporting to support data-driven decision-making.
- Collaborate with tech teams to ensure financial oversight of R&D projects and drone manufacturing pipelines.
Qualifications & Skills
- CA / CMA / MBA (Finance) from a reputed institute; CFA is a plus.
- Minimum 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably in a tech/manufacturing or startup environment.
- Experience in fundraising (equity or debt), M&A, investor relations, and strategic finance.
- Strong understanding of Indian regulatory and compliance frameworks.
- High proficiency in financial modelling, ERP systems, and data analytics tools.
- Leadership presence, good behaviour trait, team player, analytical rigor, and strong communication and presentation skills and good in using Microsoft tool
Preferred Attributes
- Experience in aerospace, electronics, defense, or hardware-tech industry.
- Exposure to government projects, subsidies, or public-private partnerships.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, high-growth startup environment.
- Should be ready to travel during investor presentation, engagements and pitch.
Salary: Best in industry and wouldn't be a constraint for the right candidate.
