Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial strategy and management of Raama Finance Limited. The CFO will be responsible for overseeing financial planning, accounting, treasury, taxation, regulatory compliance, risk management, and investor reporting while ensuring strong financial governance and supporting the organization’s long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy aligned with business goals and growth plans.
- Partner with the CEO and leadership team on strategic decisions, business planning, and capital allocation.
- Drive profitability, financial sustainability, and long-term value creation.
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and performance analysis.
- Monitor key financial metrics and provide insights to support business decisions.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization and operational efficiency.
Accounting, Controls & Reporting
- Oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, audits, and internal financial controls.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Strengthen financial governance, processes, and reporting frameworks.
Treasury, Funding & Investor Relations
- Manage treasury operations, cash flow planning, liquidity, and working capital.
- Lead fundraising initiatives, debt management, and relationships with banks, financial institutions, and investors.
- Support strategic transactions, partnerships, and capital planning.
Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with RBI guidelines, statutory requirements, taxation, and corporate governance standards.
- Oversee internal and external audits and implement robust risk management practices.
- Ensure adherence to financial policies, controls, and compliance frameworks.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounts team.
- Build a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement within the finance function.
Preferred Experience & Education
- 8–10 years of progressive experience in Finance, with significant exposure to NBFC, Banking, Financial Services, Lending, FinTech, or BFSI organizations.
- Proven experience in financial strategy, fund management, regulatory compliance, audits, and leadership roles.
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) is mandatory. An additional qualification such as MBA (Finance) or CFA will be an added advantage.
