Job Description: Oracle CPQ Developer
Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced
Oracle CPQ Developer to drive the technical design, development, and implementation of Oracle CPQ solutions. This role requires strong expertise in CPQ configuration, customization, and integrations, along with the ability to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions. The ideal candidate will play a key role in delivering high‑quality CPQ implementations aligned with Quote‑to‑Cash business processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business analysts, functional consultants, and stakeholders to gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Configure and customize Oracle CPQ to support product configuration, pricing logic, approval workflows, and document generation
- Design, develop, and maintain integrations between Oracle CPQ and enterprise systems such as CRM and ERP platforms
- Build and implement complex CPQ solutions using BML (BigMachines Extensible Language), JavaScript, and related technologies
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across CPQ configurations, integrations, and custom components
- Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and production support
- Ensure solution quality, performance, and scalability through unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing
- Stay current with CPQ platform enhancements, releases, and best practices
- Contribute to defining CPQ development standards, guidelines, and best practices
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience in Oracle CPQ implementations, with strong understanding of CPQ concepts, architecture, and functionality
- Proven expertise in Oracle CPQ configuration, including product models, pricing rules, approvals, and document generation
- Strong programming skills in BML and JavaScript
- Experience integrating Oracle CPQ with CRM, ERP, and other enterprise systems
- Solid understanding of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, XML, and XSLT
- Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle or SQL Server
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Good understanding of SDLC methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall
Preferred / Nice to Have
- Oracle CPQ Certified Implementation Professional (latest version preferred)
- Salesforce certifications or hands‑on Salesforce administration experience
- Experience with Oracle CPQ Cloud deployments
- Exposure to other Oracle Cloud applications (e.g., Sales Cloud, ERP Cloud)
- Experience working with SOAP and REST web services
- Knowledge of SSO and security protocols
- Experience with CPQ performance tuning and optimization
- Understanding of industry best practices for CPQ and Quote‑to‑Cash processes
- Experience supporting CPQ implementations across industries such as manufacturing, telecommunications, or high‑tech
- Exposure to CPQ data migration and data management activities
