The Adecco Group is looking for an ITD Project Manager - APAC based in Malaysia to drive end‑to‑end enterprise application delivery.
Mission
The ITD Project Manager, APAC is responsible for leading the end to end delivery of business applications and enterprise ITD solutions across the Asia Pacific region.
This role requires a seasoned project leader with strong experience delivering complex, cross country initiatives in a matrix, multinational environment, working closely with senior business stakeholders, IT leadership, and external delivery partners.
The role ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget, in alignment with PMO governance, quality standards, and business outcomes.
Main tasks & Responsibilities
Project Delivery
- Lead end to end delivery of ITD projects and initiatives, from business demand and planning through execution, go live, and closure
- Deliver enterprise and business applications (e.g. ERP, CRM, HRIS, Finance, Digital or similar systems) across multiple APAC markets
- Manage project scope, timelines, budget, risks, dependencies, and deliverables ensuring adherence to governance standards
- Ensure alignment with global ITD strategies, PMO framework and toll gates, and regional deployment goals
Stakeholder & Governance Management
- For assigned project (s), act as the primary point of contact for senior business and ITD stakeholders across the region
- Prepare and present project status, risks, and recommendations to Sponsors and Steering Committees
- Drive timely decision making, issue resolution, and escalation with clear mitigation proposals
- Ensure projects comply with PMO frameworks, reporting standards, and audit requirements
Team & Vendor Leadership
- Lead and coordinate cross functional, multicultural teams, including internal ITD, business SMEs, and external vendors
- Manage system integrators, vendors, and offshore delivery teams across multiple time zones
- Facilitate and chair project meetings, workshops, and steering forums
Risk, Quality & Change Management
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and dependencies
- Ensure solution quality, business readiness, and operational handover
- Support change management and adoption activities in collaboration with business leaders
Work Experience
- 7–10+ years of experience as an IT Project Manager, with demonstrated senior level responsibility
- Proven experience delivering business applications / enterprise systems in a regional or global context
- Experience leading multi country APAC projects in a matrix organization
- Strong background working with senior business stakeholders and executive sponsors
- Hands on experience managing external vendors and system integrators
- Exposure to Agile, Hybrid, and Waterfall delivery methodologies
- Experience in global template roll out and country deployments is highly preferred
- Familiarity with PMO governance, financial tracking, and portfolio reporting
Education
- Degree / Master’s degree in IT, computer science, or similar supplemented with IT qualifications or certifications.
- Certification in Project Management (PMP / PRINCE2) and / or Program or Portfolio Management (PgMP / PfMP)
- Travel Requirement Occasional (up to 20%)
- Expert English Communication skills
- Additional APAC languages are a plus
