Company Description
Westfield Band Boosters Association, Inc. is a 501c3 nonprofit organization based in Westfield, Indiana, dedicated to supporting music education and extra cirricular band and guard programs at Westfield High School. The association focuses on fostering a positive impact through active volunteer engagement and finanical support through fundraising.
Role Description
The CFO position will work directly with the Westfield Band Boosters Executive board. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Preparing financial reports for each monthly board meeting
- Oversee collection and dispensation of funds
- Maintain all books of accounts
- Drafting of checks for payment
- non-profit status compliance – filing of annual 990 tax return, state tax return filings, business entity filings, 1099 filings
- Preparation of annual tax returns, 501c3 filings and contractor 1099s
- Oversee the management of the annual budget in collaboration with the band program directors and booster executive board
- Monitor cash flow to ensure sufficient funds are available to meet operating needs
- Administrative Leadership:
- Oversee Treasurer and Cash Managers regarding Concessions and Ticketing management, Monthly meeting reports, Student Account management, Attendance, Preparation of the annual budget with the assistance of program directors
Qualifications/Position requirements
- Experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance
- Familiar with non-profit accounting
- Proficient in Excel, Google Sheets as well as well as ability to learn booster management software
- Knowledge of Financial Reporting and Compliance in regards to 501c(3) regulations; charitable solicitation regulations, state specific regulations for charitable gaming, retail merchant sales and use tax and food and beverage tax return processing
- Ability to attend booster meetings as requested by the Executive Board or band directors
- Attend booster hosted events
This is a part time hybrid position, compensation $8,000/yr
