About The Role
At Australian Retirement Trust, everything we do is about helping members make the most of their money. ART’s Commercial division (internally known as “Workplaces”) is responsible for ART’s employer partnerships across Australia. These relationships directly drive member acquisition, retention and the long-term growth of the fund.
As a Business Operations Specialist, you’ll sit at the centre of the Commercial division, enabling disciplined execution, continuous improvement and high performance across a high impact part of the business. You’ll work closely with the Business Manager and stakeholders across the organisation to ensure the team operates with consistency, structure and clarity.
This is a hands‑on role where you’ll connect people, processes and priorities, ensuring the Commercial division strategy is executed through efficient, scalable and compliant ways of working.
In This Role, You Will
- Develop and maintain fit‑for‑purpose processes, governance artefacts and reporting that support effective decision‑making and operational discipline
- Identify and deliver process and continuous improvement initiatives aligned to business priorities
- Enable strategic initiatives by providing coordination, governance, reporting and operational change support
- Partner with stakeholders to provide clear, practical operational advice and support
- Build strong relationships and influence outcomes through collaboration and problem solving
- Provide flexible support across Business Operations shared services as priorities shift Promote strong risk practices by identifying emerging risks and monitoring controls

About You
You’re organised, collaborative and comfortable working in a fast moving, regulated environment. You enjoy improving ways of working and partnering across a business to deliver outcomes
You’ll Bring
- Experience in superannuation, financial services or a similarly regulated environment
- Experience in business operations with exposure to one or more of the domains of governance, risk, compliance, reporting or process improvement
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Sound analytical and problem-solving capability, with attention to both detail and context
- Experience improving processes and ways of working
- An understanding of risk management practices
- The ability to manage competing priorities and adapt as needs change
- Experience with tools such as Power BI, CRM or workflow systems (desirable)
