A Defining Career Move: Chief Financial Officer
For the ambitious finance leader, some opportunities represent a standard next step. Others offer the chance to create a lasting legacy. This is the latter.
Our client has reached a strategic inflection point. They are a rapidly expanding national services firm, guided by a dynamic leadership team and defined by a reputation for quality and integrity. With a solid foundation in place, we are now seeking a Chief Financial Officer to be the architect of their next chapter of significant growth.
The Mission: Strategic Financial Leadership
This role is designed for a leader who views finance as a catalyst for growth, not just a function of compliance. As a key member of the executive team and a direct strategic partner to the CEO, your core mission is to elevate the finance function into a proactive, commercial force.
Leading and mentoring a team of four, you will be responsible for the entire financial landscape of the business. You will move beyond historical reporting to provide the critical, forward-looking insights that will underpin every major decision, from operational efficiency to long-term corporate strategy.
Key Areas of Impact & Responsibility
This is a role of immediate and tangible impact. Your success will be measured by your ability to:
- Architect a High-Performance Finance Function: Take full ownership of the P&L and balance sheet. You will lead the annual budgeting and forecasting cycles, oversee all cash flow and treasury management, and spearhead the implementation of scalable systems and processes to support our continued expansion.
- Drive Strategic Decision-Making: Serve as the financial authority within the leadership team. You will deliver timely and accurate monthly reporting, but your crucial contribution will be the sophisticated commercial insights and variance analysis that provide clarity and guide strategic direction for the CEO and the board.
- Enhance Commercial Profitability: Be deeply embedded in the commercial operations of the business. You will play a pivotal role in major bids and tenders by developing robust pricing and costing models. Your expertise will be key to identifying and acting on opportunities to improve margins and enhance our competitive advantage.
The Ideal Candidate
This opportunity is intended for a proven and commercially-minded finance leader. You are likely a Financial Controller, Finance Director, or an existing CFO who has demonstrated success within a services-based industry (such as facilities management, cleaning, security, or a related sector).
You are CA/CPA qualified and possess a track record of not only delivering impeccable financial control but also of leading teams and elevating their capabilities. You are ready to assume full responsibility for a company's financial destiny and make a measurable, lasting impact.
If this opportunity to build a legacy aligns with your professional ambitions, we invite you to begin a confidential conversation.
