A trusted client has engaged us to recruit a crucial position. This Chief Revenue Officer role requires knowledge of the financial services/investment management industry and a professional with proven sales leadership experience. This position requires the ability to establish a consistent and scalable sales process while leading a team and also being involved in the day to day sales cycle. This is a hands on position.
Position Overview
The Chief Revenue Officer is a C-suite executive responsible for developing and executing strategies to drive revenue growth, market expansion, and sustainable business development. This role leads sales, business development, and client acquisition efforts while also leading marketing efforts to increase market share, strengthen client relationships, and support overall organizational growth. The position involves market analysis, opportunity identification, and process optimization within the financial services sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with senior leadership to develop and implement a strategic growth plan, including market analysis, opportunity identification, client feedback, and expansion initiatives across existing and target markets.
- Execute growth strategies with a focus on increasing Assets Under Management (AUM), overall revenue, lead conversion rates, relationship development, and market penetration.
- Build and strengthen strategic relationships with current and prospective clients and partners, including oversight of timelines, staffing, marketing, and service offerings.
- Lead, motivate, and coordinate the sales team to achieve individual and firm-wide performance goals.
- Develop consistent messaging and positioning to establish the firm as an approachable, trusted advisor attentive to client needs.
- Evaluate and enhance networking efforts to connect with potential clients and industry influencers.
- Ensure full utilization of the CRM system by client-facing team members, maintain accurate client data, and deliver regular performance reporting to executive leadership.
- Monitor key performance indicators, including client relationship profitability and portfolio growth.
- Maintain strict adherence to all applicable state and federal regulations.
- Identify and address operational or reporting gaps to improve efficiency and support scalable growth.
- Collaborate closely with the Board of Directors and C-suite executives on strategic initiatives and issue resolution.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree preferred in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Marketing, or a related field. MBA strongly preferred.
- Strong expertise in investment advisory services, portfolio management, and relevant financial products.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in financial services, investment management, banking, or related fields, with a demonstrated track record of increasing responsibility.
- Proven success in leadership of team(s) - business development, revenue generation, and strategic project management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and related tools).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, partners, staff, and board members.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a results-driven approach, particularly in financial reporting and analysis.
