Profit Centre Manager
Greater Toronto Area | Full-Time Permanent Opportunity
The Profit Centre Manager will be responsible for overseeing overall branch performance including sales growth, operations, profitability, customer relationships, inventory management, and team leadership. The role is heavily focused on business performance, operational efficiency, and driving results within a KPI-driven environment.
The ideal candidate is someone with a strong sales and operational mindset who understands how to grow a business, lead teams, and drive branch performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead overall branch/profit centre operations and business performance
- Drive sales growth, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction
- Build and maintain strong customer and vendor relationships
- Oversee inventory, procurement, pricing, margins, and operational performance
- Manage and develop branch teams in a KPI-driven environment
- Review financial performance, branch metrics, and operational reports to identify opportunities for growth and efficiency
- Support hiring, coaching, performance management, and team development initiatives
- Ensure operational procedures, internal controls, and health & safety standards are maintained
- Create action plans and business strategies to improve overall branch performance and profitability
- Operate independently while taking ownership of business decisions and results
What We’re Looking For
- Experience within wholesale distribution, industrial supply, building materials, HVAC/plumbing supply, construction supply, electrical distribution, or a similar business environment
- Strong sales mindset with experience driving revenue growth, customer relationships, and profitability
- Strong financial and business acumen with exposure to P&L responsibilities, budgeting, margins, inventory management, and operational KPIs
- Experience managing branch operations, teams, inventory, procurement, and overall business performance
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and hold teams accountable
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate independently and take ownership of results
- Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Ability to thrive in a performance-focused and fast-paced environment
