The Role
Your job is to start conversations, not close them - and to make sure the right people have heard of Othor AI before those conversations even begin.
You'll generate pipeline, build our brand presence on the ground in Bangalore, and help craft the messaging that makes cold outreach feel warm. You'll work the US market remotely and show up in person at Bangalore's startup and tech scene - meetups, conferences, demo days - turning handshakes into qualified opportunities.
If you're the kind of person who enjoys prospecting, networking, and opening doors - and gets a kick out of finding the perfect way to position a product - this is your role.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll spend most of your time finding the right people and starting conversations - researching leads in the US market (CEOs, Finance, Marketing, and Sales teams), running cold email and LinkedIn outreach, and writing messaging that actually gets replies. When a lead is qualified, you hand them off to the founders for the demo.
On the ground in Bangalore, you'll attend startup meetups, tech events, and demo days as the face of Othor AI - occasionally traveling to other Indian cities for bigger events. The goal is to turn every in-person conversation into a booked meeting. You'll also look for opportunities to get Othor AI mentioned, featured, or talked about - whether that's a community Slack, a newsletter, or a panel.
You'll keep the CRM clean, maintain outbound sequences, and use tools like Apollo and LinkedIn Sales Navigator to build targeted lead lists. You'll experiment with messaging and channels, track what works, and share patterns from your outreach - objections, responses, what resonates - directly with the founders to sharpen our ICP and positioning. Over time, the best-performing messages become the playbook. The best-performing channels become the strategy.
You'll also contribute to how Othor shows up online - helping draft LinkedIn posts, refine our positioning language, or put together one-pagers that make it easier for prospects to say yes.
What We're Looking For
Required
- 1–3 years in a BDR, SDR, lead generation, or growth marketing role at a B2B SaaS startup
- Based in Bangalore - you'll meet the founders regularly and attend local events as part of the job
- Experience prospecting into the US market - you understand how US buyers think and respond
- Consistent track record of hitting outbound targets and meeting quotas
- A knack for messaging - you can write a cold email that doesn't read like one
- Comfortable and confident at events - you network naturally, not awkwardly
- Hands-on with sales tools: CRM, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, or similar outreach platforms
- Strong written English - your cold emails actually get replies
- Available for partial US hours (EST/PST overlap)
Bonus Points
- Experience at a pre-Series A B2B SaaS or AI startup
- Familiarity with the BI, analytics, or data tools landscape
- Active LinkedIn presence and an established professional network
- You've run or contributed to content, social, or community efforts alongside outbound
- Comfort with automation tools or no-code workflows to scale outreach
- Exposure to AI/LLM products and how to talk about them with business buyers
