Chief Financial Officer - Real Estate
A privately held, vertically integrated real estate development and capital platform is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to lead all finance and accounting functions across a rapidly growing multibillion-dollar enterprise spanning real estate development, private credit, EB-5, construction, and captive insurance.
The CFO will serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and executive team, overseeing accounting, FP&A, treasury, tax, audit, investor reporting, and financial systems infrastructure while building and scaling a high-performing finance organization.
Responsibilities:
- Lead enterprise-wide finance, accounting, reporting, treasury, tax, and audit functions
- Build and scale the finance organization across Controller, FP&A, Fund Accounting, Treasury, and Tax
- Oversee consolidated GAAP reporting, multi-entity consolidations, partnership accounting, and waterfall structures
- Drive budgeting, forecasting, cash management, liquidity planning, and management reporting
- Partner with executive leadership on capital allocation, growth initiatives, and strategic decision-making
- Lead investor and lender financial reporting across LPs, JV partners, lenders, and EB-5 stakeholders
- Implement institutional-grade financial systems, controls, and reporting infrastructure
Qualifications:
- Active CPA required
- 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience within real estate development, REITs, private equity, or family office environments
- Strong background in multi-entity consolidations, partnership accounting, and institutional reporting environments
- Real estate development and construction accounting experience
- Experience building and leading high-performing finance teams
- Big Four foundation and public-company or institutionally audited experience preferred
- Entrepreneurial, hands-on and combine technical rigor with strategic leadership in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
- Strong technical proficiency in AI tools such as Claude, etc.

- Experience with EB-5 fund structures and compliance reporting
- Private credit, debt, and preferred equity structures
- Captive insurance accounting exposure
