About Fox Translations
Fox Translations is a Canadian language services company specializing in multilingual communication for government, regulated, and compliance-driven environments.
For many years, Fox has supported organizations operating in high-accountability sectors including government, healthcare, legal, science, and regulated corporate environments. The company operates under ISO 17100 and CGSB 131.10 certified workflows and increasingly focuses on structured multilingual operations, technology-enabled delivery, and enterprise multilingual governance.
Fox is now entering the next stage of its evolution: transitioning from a predominantly reactive, project-driven model into a more structured enterprise commercial organization with clearer segmentation, proactive account development, and scalable commercial processes.
Role Overview
Fox Translations is seeking a senior commercial operator to help build and operationalize the company’s next-stage commercial engine.
This is not a traditional “sales manager” role and not a pure advisory position. The mandate is to help design and implement a scalable commercial operating model for a complex, capacity-constrained B2B services organization.
The ideal candidate has experience commercializing sophisticated professional services, managed services, outsourcing, agency, consulting, localization, or other relationship-driven B2B service environments where delivery capacity, pricing discipline, and operational realities are tightly connected to sales execution.
This role is intended as a practical commercial build function with significant hands-on involvement in operationalizing processes, improving enterprise positioning, and supporting organizational transition.
Core Mandate
The successful candidate will work directly with leadership to help:
- Define and operationalize Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) segmentation
- Improve enterprise positioning and commercial messaging
- Build proactive outbound and account development motion
- Introduce structured pipeline management and forecast discipline
- Improve pricing architecture and commercial qualification discipline
- Align sales activity with operational and delivery realities
- Help transition from project-by-project reactive sales toward longer-term enterprise relationships and recurring commercial structures
Initial 90–180 Day Objectives
Expected early-stage outputs include:
Commercial Structure
- Defined ICP and target segment prioritization
- Pipeline structure and qualification stages
- Opportunity management discipline
- Initial outbound/account development process
Commercial Operations
- Improved sales-to-delivery handoff process
- Initial pricing and deal qualification framework
- Better visibility into deal quality and commercial predictability
Market Positioning
- Refinement of enterprise messaging
- Positioning aligned to regulated and compliance-driven buyers
- Identification of strategic verticals and account targets
Execution
- Operational processes actively running—not only documented
- Early adoption across leadership and operational stakeholders
- Practical integration with existing workflows and systems
- Observable improvements in commercial discipline and deal evaluation
Candidate Profile
We are specifically seeking candidates with experience in one or more of the following environments:
- Professional services
- Managed services
- Outsourcing / BPO
- Localization / language services
- Enterprise consulting
- Complex agency environments
- Regulated B2B services
Strong preference will be given to candidates who have:
- Built commercial systems in evolving organizations
- Worked in capacity-constrained delivery businesses
- Implemented enterprise or consultative sales structures
- Integrated commercial strategy with operational realities
- Led organizational change in founder-led or operationally mature companies
Important Note
This role is not focused on:
- commodity transactional sales
- high-volume SDR management
- generic SaaS growth tactics
- purely theoretical advisory work
We are looking for someone who can operate pragmatically inside a real delivery organization and help implement durable commercial systems tied to operational execution.
Compensation & Structure
Fox is open to:
- full-time employment
- staged transition structures
- hybrid/flexible working arrangements
Indicative compensation range:
- CAD $125,000 – $150,000 base salary
- Health benefits are available to an employee working more then 22.5 hours a week
Performance objectives may include:
- implementation of commercial systems and pipeline discipline
- enterprise account development
- improvement in deal quality and commercial predictability
- sales-to-delivery alignment
- recurring or strategic revenue development
This role is intended as a long-term strategic function rather than a short-term sales acceleration mandate.
Location
Hybrid / flexible. Preference for candidates able to operate effectively within Canadian business and regulatory environments.
