Hemophilia of Georgia (HoG) is a nationally and internationally recognized nonprofit organization that provides programs and support services for people with hemophilia, von Willebrand Disease, and other bleeding disorders. HoG is the only agency of its kind in the state and is dedicated to enhancing the health and wellness of the bleeding disorder community by providing excellence in comprehensive healthcare, education, advocacy, and the support of research to transform lives.

Hemophilia of Georgia operates an annual summer camp program for children and teens with hemophilia and other inherited bleeding disorders. Camp is typically held in the summer (which may include the Fourth of July) and runs Saturday-Friday, and the date changes each year. Camp is an agency-wide, strategic priority; therefore, all exempt employees must participate. Assignments may include duties at camp, helping campers get to and from camp, and may involve overnight travel. The Director of Camp & Client Events will provide advance notice to exempt employees of where support is needed. PTO requests during the week of camp are not approved
; however, PTO requests for extenuating circumstances will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis by the Chief Community Engagement Officer.
The Director of Business Operations is a strategic and operational leader responsible for overseeing and optimizing the business functions that support clinical and administrative activities across the organization. This role drives operational excellence, ensures scalability, implements process improvements, and partners closely with executive leadership to support organizational growth and performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Operations Management, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare operations or business management.
- Proven experience implementing process improvements and operational best practices.
- Strong project management background; PMP certification is a plus.
- Strategic problem solver with strong analytical capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to navigate complex organizations and influence without direct authority.
- Expertise in healthcare operational workflows, regulatory standards, and quality metrics.
Essential Functions
- Develop and execute operational strategies that streamline workflows, optimize resources, and support organizational objectives.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to enhance efficiency, performance, and patient experience.
- Monitor key operational metrics, identify trends, and present actionable recommendations to executive leadership.
- Oversee major operational projects from concept through implementation.
- Implement standardized operating procedures across departments.
- Lead system and technology enhancements that improve workflow and reporting capabilities.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, internal policies, and accreditation standards.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and KPIs to track departmental performance.
- Support quality, safety, and compliance initiatives.
- Manage vendor relationships and evaluate ongoing performance.
Additional Responsibilities
- Serve as primary liaison between executive leadership, clinical departments, and operational support teams.
- Support annual planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Build strong relationships across the organization.
- Coach and develop business operations staff.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives.
