Business Operations Lead at Handoff
We're hiring a Business Ops Lead to serve as the executive arm of our COO and help translate leadership strategy into company-wide execution. In this role you'll own Handoff's operating system — from cycle planning and KPI dashboards to financial modeling, board materials, and high-priority special projects.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of strategy and execution, isn't fazed by ambiguity, and wants to operate at all levels of a fast-scaling startup.
What You'll Do
- Facilitate Handoff's departmental planning process — driving submissions, tracking progress, and holding teams accountable
- Maintain and continuously improve company-wide dashboards, KPIs, and operational tooling
- Support the COO on board decks, investor updates, and executive materials
- Build and maintain financial models; help prepare analysis for key business decisions
- Track departmental budgets and flag spend variances to the COO
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and renewals
- Codify work norms and operating standards as the company scales
- Assist with prep and logistics for company all-hands meetings and recurring leadership syncs
- Assist with planning & execution of internal events and company off-sites
About You
- Background in investment banking, venture capital, consulting, or an early-stage startup
- Comfortable operating at both the strategic and tactical level simultaneously — you can build a board deck in the morning and chase down a contract renewal in the afternoon
- Financial modeling skills — you build from scratch, not just edit templates
- Strong written communicator — your memos and decks are clear, tight, and ready to send
- Experience in high-growth startup environments preferred
What We Offer
- Competitive Salary + Equity
- Unlimited Paid Time Off (PTO)
- 401(k)
- Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance
- Life & Disability Insurance
- Flexible Spending Account (FSA)
- Dependent Care FSA (DCFSA)
- Top-Notch Equipment
