About Wingz
Wingz is a rideshare platform focused on Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT). Our network of compassionate, credentialed drivers helps vulnerable populations gain access to the care they need.
About The Role
We are seeking a sharp, analytical, and highly proactive Business Operations Associate to help Wingz solve some of its most important operational problems as we scale our healthcare transportation platform.
This is a high-impact, cross-functional role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, moves quickly, and enjoys turning messy operational challenges into clear systems, processes, and measurable improvements. You will work across Operations, Product, Engineering, Finance, and Leadership to improve how Wingz runs day to day and to execute special projects that do not always fit neatly into one team’s existing responsibilities.
Much of the role will involve getting close to the details of our marketplace: drivers, trips, brokers, rider needs, operational workflows, and internal tools. You will help identify where things are breaking, use data to understand why, and work with the team to implement practical solutions.
What You’ll Do
- Own high-priority operational projects end-to-end. Take ambiguous business problems from definition to analysis to implementation. You may be asked to improve driver onboarding, reduce trip sendbacks, strengthen market launch processes, improve broker reporting, or create better operating cadences for the team.
- Improve Wingz’s operating systems and processes. Work across the Operations team to identify bottlenecks, design better workflows, document playbooks, and create scalable processes that help the team operate with more consistency and less manual effort.
- Use data to diagnose problems and drive decisions. Analyze marketplace, driver, trip, and support data to understand operational performance. Build lightweight dashboards, trackers, and reporting tools that help the team measure what matters and act quickly.
- Translate operational pain into product and tooling improvements. Partner with Product and Engineering to turn repeated operational issues into better internal tools, automation, and product enhancements. Help define the problem clearly so the team builds the right solution.
- Support special projects that cut across teams. Jump into high-priority initiatives that need structure and execution but may not have a clear owner. Examples could include new market launches, broker integrations, driver supply initiatives, compliance workflows, routing improvements, or internal reporting systems.
- Project manage cross-functional work. Lead meetings, manage project plans, coordinate stakeholders, and keep work moving across Operations, Product, Engineering, Finance, and Leadership. You should be comfortable creating clarity where there is none.
- Create durable operating artifacts. Develop the playbooks, dashboards, templates, decision frameworks, and reporting cadences that help the team scale beyond one-off heroics.
What You’ll Need
- 1+ years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, BizOps, or business analyst role.
- Extensive AI experience including building skills for AI agents.
- Strong analytical skills and comfort working with data in Excel, Google Sheets, SQL, BI tools, or similar systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A bias toward action. You do not wait for someone else to tell you to move — you step into the gap and start solving.
- Comfort with ambiguity and messy problems. You can bring structure to unclear situations and help others make decisions.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to coordinate work across multiple stakeholders.
- High ownership and low ego. You are willing to do both the strategic thinking and the detailed execution.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, remote startup environment.
- A desire to build systems that improve access to healthcare transportation for vulnerable populations.
Bonus Points
- Experience in NEMT.
- Experience in rideshare, last-mile logistics, broker-managed care, healthcare operations, or other marketplace/on-demand operations.
- Experience helping launch or scale operations across multiple markets.
- Experience working alongside Product and Engineering to ship internal tools, not just file tickets.
Why Wingz?
- Mission-driven work that makes a tangible difference in people’s lives.
- 100% remote work culture
- A small, agile team where your impact is felt every day.
- Competitive compensation and benefits.
