Role Description The Director of Business Operations is a full-time, on-site role based in Atlanta, GA, responsible for leading execution across ZYCI’s machining and finishing facilities. This role oversees day-to-day business operations and cross-functional coordination between manufacturing, quality, finance, and customer-facing teams. The Director will analyze performance metrics, streamline business processes, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and profitability. Responsibilities include managing operational budgets, supporting forecasting, and partnering with leadership on program and capacity planning for key customer programs. The role also includes building and mentoring operations teams, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, and driving operational best practices that support the company’s mission-critical customers.
Qualifications
- Strong Business Operations and Program Management skills to lead cross-functional initiatives and oversee complex production and customer programs.
- Expertise in Business Process Improvement, with a track record of implementing continuous improvement and operational efficiency projects in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Robust Analytical Skills to interpret operational and financial data, establish KPIs, and make data-informed decisions.
- Solid Finance knowledge, including budgeting, cost analysis, and supporting revenue and margin goals in an operations context.
- Experience in precision manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated industries is highly beneficial.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including team development, stakeholder management, and clear, professional communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, PMP) are a plus.
- Ability to work on-site full-time in the Atlanta, GA area and collaborate effectively across production, quality, and business functions.
